Staffing Update

Welcome back to the final term of this school year!  There are a few changes to our team this term so please join me in welcoming  some new and some familiar faces!

Mr James Cook starts with us as our new DHT this term.  We’re really excited to have him as part of the team as he comes with such a wealth of ideas and limitless energy that I know will help our school continue to grow and develop yet further.  The Highland Council are keen that he fulfills some of his prearranged commitments as Literacy and Assessment Development Officer and they have been very generous in funding an additional member of staff to ensure this happens and our Crown children do not lose out.

With this in mind, please welcome Miss Fabienne Shaw who will be working with us for the summer term as our Additional Support Needs Teacher.  Miss Shaw will be working with groups and individuals within the school to support them in their learning. This arrangement will mean that when Mr Cook is required to be out of school then there is no disruption to the support offered to the children. We’re very excited to have Mis Shaw join our team!

And finally, on the last day of term we held interviews for a Pupil Support Assistant to cover Gill Dickson’s maternity leave (she had a beautiful baby girl – Layla, just before the holidays!) and the response to this advert was excellent.  The applicants were great and all had something they could offer our school.  We’re pleased to announce that Angela Scobbie was successful at interview and she has accepted the post.  Ange will be starting with us as soon as she can 🙂
