Internet Safety

Thanks to everyone who managed to come along to the Parent Council Meeting on Monday.  We had a great presentation from Mr Cook, accompanied by Rachel and Cameron in P7, that certainly taught us a thing or two.

For those of you who couldn’t make it you can view the presentation here: https://prezi.com/sbv07qxsgfhg/e-safety/

We’d also recommend checking out the UK Safer Internet Centre’s information for parents/carers; it’s jam-packed with resources on their four key points Mr Cook shared at the meeting: http://www.saferinternet.org.uk/advice-and-resources/parents-and-carers

Today we were again dealing with upset children around the inappropriate use of Instagram and we really need your help and support with this.  While we can guide the children in school, we have little control over what they do when out of school. We would urge all of our parents in the Second Level to take a look at this guidance and talk with your child about how to be safe and responsible when online.  CLICK HERE to download the latest Instagram guidance.  Thank you in advance for your support with this!
