See you all tomorrow at 9am, ready and raring for a fun-filled final term of this school year! Nursery parents be reminded that Tempest Photographers are in tomorrow to take group photos and on Tuesday there’s a treat for P4-7… read on to find out more 🙂
A new and interactive theatre production has been created for young audiences (P4-P7) by an awards-winning team in partnership with the Royal Botanic Garden.
Fraxi is an ash tree that gets infected with the Chalara fungus that has been attacking ash trees across the Europe. Through an ancient ritual the life of a young boy Woody is connected to Fraxi. A magical story full of dance and humour with a message that everything always changes in the forest (and in life) and that nothing ever really dies in nature.
Pupils in P4-7 will experience this hour long performance on Tuesday 12th April. Harriet in P6 has been selected to take on the role of one of the characters. Then after lunch the P4-7 representatives from both the Eco Group and the Learning Council will take part in an hour long workshop to reinforce what they have learnt. This workshop will include elements of both the sciences and the arts.
We are asking for a donation of £1 to help cover some of the costs of this theatre production. Thank you in advance for your support in helping to fund this experience for the children.
