At today’s assembly Dr Donald visited alongside some visitors from the Elsie Normington Foundation, a charity in Inverness who have a project in which they aim to raise £4,000,000 to build a centre for children and young people with disabilities to access a number of facilities.
Elsie accompanied by Neil, Katie and Margaret are part of the Rainbow Singers group that meet regularly at Merkinch Community Centre to share their love for singing.
Elsie shared that too often we focus on what people cannot do. Her message was that each one of us should focus on the things that we can do, find out what makes us happy and enjoy every minute of that!
The school have been invited to join the Rainbow Singers; we hope that some of us will be able to visit them soon.
