Busy Times Ahead!

It’s hard to believe that we’ve only got three weeks left of school this session and there’s so much going on so please be sure to keep checking the blog so you don’t miss anything!

Here are some dates to remember:

  • Week beginning Monday 13th June – new P1 parents/carers should have received a Hopes and Dreams appointment time with their child’s new teacher. If you have not received this and would like to meet then please contact the school office on 01463 233879 and we’ll sort something out.
  • Monday 13th June – pupils who will be attending Inverness High School next session should arrive at school at 8.40am ready to be taken to the High School for their Transition Days.
  • Tuesday 14th June – P7s set off to Craggan Outdoors ready for their four day adventure!  Please be sure to bring a packed lunch for the first day and also have your day bag packed with the things you’ll need for your activities on Tuesday.
  • Tuesday 14th June – P4/5 and P6 are off on their school trip to Tazball in Farr!  Remember to dress appropriately and bring drinks, snacks and your lunch.
  • Wednesday 15th June – P5 are off on their school trip to Tazball in Farr!  Remember to dress appropriately and bring drinks, snacks and your lunch.
  • Thursday 16th June – P1-4 Baillie Cup Athletics Competition.  Wish our runner all the best!
  • Thursday 16th June – P5 Tennis Festival at Bellfield Park.
  • Friday 17th June – Primary 7s return from Craggan Outdoors around 2.30pm with lots of memories and mountains of dirty washing!
  • Monday 20th June – The Nursery children are off to Abriachan for the day on their end of year trip and P5/6 are also off on their trip to the cinema and the park!
  • Monday 20th June – P7s will be back and forth to Millburn Academy working on a transition project with the P7s from Milton of Leys Primary.
  • Tuesday 21st June – P4 are off on their trip to the cinema and the park, fingers crossed for sunshine!
  • Wednesday 22nd – Friday 24th June – Our P7s are off to Millburn Academy for their transition days. More information will follow…
  • Wednesday 22nd June – N-P6 Open Afternoon.  Please join your children in their classes from 2.15pm to hear about their highlights from the year and see what they’ve been up to this term. Nursery families will be able to join the session for either the first or last 30 minutes. Check with the Nursery Staff to find out more.
  • Thursday 23rd June – Ms MacDonald will be visiting Crown to meet the children and staff and find out more about our school before taking up her new role as Head Teacher in August.
  • Monday 27th June – P2, P2/3 and P3 are off on their school trip to Rollerbowl and the park!
  • Tuesday 28th June – Moving Up Afternoon.  All children will spend the afternoon in their new classes!
  • Thursday 30th June – Crown’s Got Talent!  The Learning Council will be hosting our annual talent show where two children selected from each class will show of their skills!  Unfortunately due to limited space in the hall this is for the children only!
  • Thursday 30th June – Nursery Graduation.  All parents/carers of Nursery children who will be moving up to P1 after the summer are invited to join us at 2pm on this date.
  • Thursday 30th June – P7 Leavers Disco from 7pm-9pm in the school hall.  We will assume that all children are permitted to walk home unaccompanied when the disco finishes unless notified otherwise.
  • Friday 1st July – Please join us all in Crown Church at 9.30am where we will say goodbye to another school year, some staff members and our wonderful P7s!
  • Friday 1st July – school and nursery will close at 12.00.
