Crown Gets Cycling

Crown gets cycling…

Highland Hospice Black Isle Cycle Challenge

Saturday 22 April 2017 @ 10am onwards  start at Resolis Village Hall, Black Isle

(Arrival for 09.30 or thereby advised to allow for parking, registration, gathering at the hall, etc)

A number of families from the school, with nursery age children upwards, are participating in the Black Isle Cycle Challenge on the last Saturday of the holidays.  If you are interested (including the teaching staff!) see the link below, and register directly with Amanda Burt at the Highland Hospice or contact Julie Macrae at

There are 4 routes and challenges:

20 mile road challenge (road only) | departs 10.00am

26 mile marathon challenge (on and off road route) | departs 10.10am

15 mile mini challenge (on and off road route) | departs 10.20am

6 mile family trail (on and off road) | departs 10.30am

Roads (all minor) are not closed but are marshalled throughout, and there are food and water stops along the routes (as part of the entry fee).  Post event celebrations are included in the entry fee, with sandwiches and cakes and refreshments provided by the local community in the village hall after.  Everybody that participates gets a medal.  In short it is a great day out…

Entry on the day is £20 per person or £40 for a family of four.  All proceeds go direct to the Highland Hospice.

If you are attending the post event celebrations (in support of somebody but not cycling) there is entry by donation on the door.

Some other post event stalls may be available (bouncy castle, hot food, etc) for an additional cost.
