Relationships, Sexual Health and Parenthood

At Crown Primary School we follow the Highland Health and Wellbeing progression framework which outlines the intended learning for our pupils.  Relationships, Sexual Health and Parenthood (RSHP) is taught from Nursery to Primary 7 and is adapted to meet the needs of the children and to take into account the views of parents and carers.

Children explore this area of the curriculum as they would with any other: stories, quizzes, games, discussions, fact-finding, sharing, asking questions, creating posters and at times Home Learning may be issued to support the work being done in school.

We invite parents/carers to get involved in sharing their ideas around this topic and also working with the school to ensure the children are best equipped to understand any new vocabulary and ideas.
