Personal Property

All school bags, packed lunch boxes etc should be clearly named on the INSIDE.  All items of clothing should have clearly marked name tags, this is particularly important for common items of school uniform.

To protect clothing from paint, clay, etc an overall/old shirt should be brought from home.

Items of jewellery such as rings and earrings (other than studs) should not be worn to school in the interests of pupil safety.  Toys, dolls, games or items of a similar nature should not be brought to school unless this has been agreed with the class teacher. The school will not take responsibility for any valuables lost by pupils in school.

Pupils who lose articles in school should check if their property has been handed into the office (money, watches, etc) or placed on the lost property table (clothing, etc).  Unclaimed property will be disposed of at the end of each term.

Pupils are discouraged from bringing money to school other than for a specific purpose.  In the case of early years (P1-3) classes money should be securely wrapped with the child’s name, class and purpose clearly indicated on the front.

Bikes/Scooters should be securely padlocked and helmets kept in classrooms.

Lost property items are set out on the table in the rear corridor of the main building.

Unclaimed items are disposed of at the end of each term.
