It’s been brought to our attention that not all of the P7 Leaver’s CDs are working and on behalf of SOCS we’re really sorry about that! We’ll do our best to sort this out and get a new CD out to all the Primary 7s who need one at the start of the new term.

Just a reminder that school closes at 12.00 today and reopens for P1-7 pupils on Tuesday 19th August. Nursery pupils should have received a letter explaining how the ‘staggered start’ to Nursery will work and on which day and time your child should attend.

Please note that the Parents Telephone Line – most commonly used for School Closures i.e. adverse weather has been changed to an 0800 number so that parents/carers are not charged for the call.
This is used for sports day updates as well as school closures due to adverse weather.
The previous 0870 number has now ceased and the new number is 08005642272 – please keep this safe!
Staffing Update
As you all know Mrs Kellacher is leaving to take on the role of Head Teacher at Lochardil Primary School and that has left our Depute Head position vacant. This post has been advertised but as there were insufficient applicants that meet what we are looking for at Crown, it has been decided that this post will be readvertised in the new school year. In the meantime we’re delighted to say that Ms McNee has agreed to stay with us next session and she will be the class teacher for Primary 5/6. We’re over the moon about this as the work she has done this year has been excellent!
The depute head responsibilities and management time will be shared by our Principal Teachers, Miss Dunbar and Miss MacBeath, until we fill this post. Knowing how great both of these teachers are I am confident that they will rise to the challenge and take on the extra responsibilities with ease!
