Unfortunately, the ice lollies did not freeze in time for us to enjoy today so they will be on sale tomorrow! Please send your child to school with 50p if they would like to have one 🙂
Month: June 2015
How Good is Our School?
Each year, schools are asked to reflect on the provision they offer children, highlight what they do well and identify where they feel they need to grow and develop. Our Standards and Quality Report is written using feedback from parents, children and staff and forms the basis of staff development and Parent Council topics for the coming year.
Please CLICK HERE to download our Standards and Quality Report and please join us at our Parent Council Meeting in the new term where we will explore this further.
Get Set for Summer!
The Learning Council are planning to make the most of the heatwave heading our way and they will be selling ice lollies on Tuesday at break time! Please remind your child to bring 50p with them tomorrow if they would like a lolly! All money raised will go towards buying more outdoor equipment (especially footballs!) ready for next session 🙂
Landmark!
Primary 2-4 had an amazing time at Landmark last Thursday! They were all wonderful and we are so proud of how well they behaved and how they were willing to try new things!
We’re going to Primary 1!
Well done to all the girls and boys who performed so beautifully at our Nursery Graduation this afternoon! Thank you to all the friends and family who came along to join in the celebration and we look forward to welcoming your little ones back in August when they start Primary 1 🙂
End of Year Service
Please join us on Thursday 2nd July at 9:30am in Crown Church to celebrate the end of another wonderful school year and to wish our P7s well as they take the next step on their learning journey! We’ll also be saying goodbye to a few members of staff so hope you’ll be able to come along to wish them all the best.
Congratulations!
After a long week at Craggan, our P7 boys had just enough time to eat and then get to Kinmylies for the final match in the IDYFA Summer League and they WON! Throughout the League, the team have won 7 games, drew 1 and lost none!
Please join me in congratulating Liam, Thomas, Callum, Kenneth, Cameron G, Taylor, Archie, Finlay, Gordon, Cameron S, Jack and Hector and also a HUGE thank you needs to go to Mr Fraser and Mrs Black who have coached the team expertly this season 🙂 Well done to you all!
What a FUN Week!
The Primary 7 Residential Trip to Craggan Outdoors was just brilliant! The weather wasn’t the best but the children were just amazing! There are MANY photos (too many for the blog) so just a few have been uploaded for you to enjoy. A HUGE thank you to Miss Gray who was the driving force behind this trip and to Mrs Munro in the office who kept us all organised in the build-up to the trip. Also a big thank you to the parents who came out to join in the fun – the children loved having you 🙂
P2&3 Football
P2&3 Football Training at Fraser Park tomorrow has been cancelled as some of the older players have been entered (last minute) in a tournament and there are not enough coaches to run coaching for the younger group. The coaches will contact the players that are required to play at the tournament on Saturday. Apologies for the short notice and any inconvenience this may cause.
Football will resume after the holidays so please join me in thanking the parents/carers who have given up their Saturdays every week this year to train the children – we really appreciate you all 🙂
Home Learning
Thanks to everyone who shared their ideas this year around Homework/Home Learning. We have taken your ideas on board and drafted Home Learning Guidelines that will take effect from August 2015. Please CLICK HERE to download the Guidelines. We will be looking for your feedback on this new approach at different times throughout the year so please share your views when the time comes.
